Forum/Group Rules
  1. No Spam / Advertising / Self-promote in the forums

These forums define spam as unsolicited advertisement for goods, services and/or other web sites, or posts with little, or completely unrelated content. Do not spam the forums/groups with links to your site or product, or try to self-promote your website, business or forums etc.
Spamming also includes sending private messages to a large number of different users.

DO NOT ASK for email addresses or phone numbers

Your account will be banned permanently and your posts will be deleted.

  1. Do not post copyright-infringing material

Providing or asking for information on how to illegally obtain copyrighted materials is forbidden.

  1. Do not post “offensive” posts, links or images

Any material which constitutes defamation, harassment, or abuse is strictly prohibited. Material that is obscene or overly discriminatory is not permitted on these forums. This includes user pictures. Use common sense while posting.
This is a web site for people who behave mindfully.

  1. Do not cross post questions

Please refrain from posting the same question in several forums. There is normally one forum which is most suitable in which to post your question.

  1. Do not PM users asking for help

Do not send private messages to any users asking for help. If you need help, make a new thread in the appropriate forum then the whole community can help and benefit.

  1. Remain respectful of other members at all times

All posts should be professional and courteous. You have every right to disagree with your fellow community members and explain your perspective non-judgmentally.

However, you are not free to attack, degrade, insult, or otherwise belittle them or the quality of this community. It does not matter what title or power you hold in these forums – you are expected to obey this rule.

  7.  Consequences of my actions

Trolling and harassment extend beyond responding to someone in a thread.  Other forms of trolling and harassment include targeted mass downvoting, spamming and creating alternate accounts.  Before taking action, think about what the consequences may be and remember you can contact a mediator, moderator or community staff member if you are experiencing an issue.  Users who take part in targeted mass downvoting, spamming or creating alt account will be suspended.

8.  Account Management & Termination

A “3 strike” system is being used for those who violate the Forum/Group Guidelines.  It will take 3 violations of the guidelines for a user to be permanently suspended.  The strikes will be as follows:

  • Initial warning with a message from a member of the moderation team and a link to the forum guidelines.
  • 1st strike: A 24-hour suspension
  • 2nd strike: a week-long suspension
  • 3rd strike: Permanent suspension

General Posting Guidelines

The Powerforms Healing forums and social groups are places where everyone should feel comfortable to contribute knowledge and take part in thoughtful discussion.  These guidelines are based on the values of the Powerforms Community.  Reporting abuse or tagging @powerformshealing-moderation will alert the moderation team to users who intentionally disregard these guidelines.

Before you post, please consider…

Your fellow community members:  Be respectful towards your fellow community members.  Your words carry weight – everyone deserve the same respect no matter their role or amount of knowledge.  Derogatory, defamatory and vulgar posts are not welcome – everyone should feel excited to contribute knowledge without begin abused or harassed.  Continued use of hate speech in the forums and groups will lead to suspension.  See more on language in the forums here.

Is what you are posting good content?  The forums and groups are a place for thoughtful discussion, not for irrelevant posts and trolling.  Here’s a good checklist to go through before posting:

  • Am I posting in the right forum?
  • Do I have anything constructive to say?
  • Am I derailing or spamming this thread?
  • Is this thread’s topic similar to any other recent threads? (We have a search function)
  • Is the information I am sharing appropriate?

Purposely posting irrelevant or ill-mannered posts, baiting, or trolling users will result in your thread/post being deleted and your account being suspended.

Is the content you are posting SFW (Safe for work)?  We have a zero-tolerance policy for NSFW content.  This includes graphic/violent images as well as explicit nudity.  If you upload an NSFW avatar or send users NSFW material in private messages or post links/images to NSFW content, your post will be deleted and you will be suspended.

Is the content you are posting legal?  We have a zero-tolerance policy for hosting illegal download links and posting private information/photos.  Posting or requesting such content in the forums may result in suspension.

We figured this was necessary because a lot of people come in and post threads without thinking, and without realizing that there is no possible way they could get help because of the way they posted the question. Here are some general guidelines:

  1. Please use SEARCH first!

There is a pretty good chance that unless you have some really odd or unique problem that it has been addressed on our forum before, please use the forum’s search feature first to see if there are already some good threads on the subject. It’s easy to search – just click the “Search” button at the top right of the page.

  1. Be DESCRIPTIVE and Don’t use “ill-advised” topic names

PLEASE post a descriptive topic name! Give a short summary of your problem IN THE SUBJECT.  (Don’t use attention getting subjects, they don’t get attention and only annoy people).

Here’s the type of topic subjects YOU SHOULD NOT POST:

Help me – Hello – Very urgent – I have a question

Generally ANYTHING similar to those is unacceptable. Just post your specific problem.

Here is a good example of a way to post a question:

“Is the heart chakra in the upper chest or lower chest”
or
“Is it better to sweep upwards or downwards when smoothing the aura”

Remember when people help you they are doing YOU a favor

Be patient, help people out by posting good descriptions of what you need help with, and don’t snap at people with rude statements, such as
“If you aren’t going to help don’t waste my time replying.”
